I am drawing a line in the sand. I will not tie shoes for my 10 year old. Even if it means she misses the school bus in the morning because she can't tie the $60 athletic shoes that she wanted so badly and promised she could tie without a problem.
My Megan also has this problem. I have told her that I will not buy her any more shoes with laces until she will start tying them herself. She knows how, she is just lazy.
You're obviously in good company. I ask my boys if I can tie them because they take forever and they're not tied tight enough for my taste.:) Yes, I'm controlling, I know. Carter wants velcro, but I don't even know if they make size 5s in velcro!
Love it! I usually make Megan tie hers in the car because she does it so slowly...
