The tree, the nativity set, and a wreath on the door are the only Christmas decorations making an appearance at our house this year. I feel like this is a respectable effort considering we will be in Utah for Christmas and basically will be gone for the last two weeks of December.
We are looking forward to celebrating the holidays with family, but I am trying to keep a few home-based traditions alive. We have already gone to the city of Aurora Festival of Lights and I'm hoping to squeeze in the making of Christmas sugar cookies, as soon as I kick this horrible cold I have!
The Aurora Festival of Lights sounds like something we need to check out! You guys are such a fabulous resource for great things to do around here! Have a wonderful trip. =)
ReplyDeleteMary, sorry to get your hopes up. The title of "festival" is very subjective in this case. It's a small light display that you drive through. If you live close by, it's fun to see the lights and then go out for dessert, but it really isn't worth a drive to see.
