Ugly Sweater Party

Ashley and I went to a Young Women's Ugly Sweater Party.  The biggest challenge of attending an Ugly Sweater Party is finding an ugly sweater to wear.  If you are super-stylish like we are, you don't have any ugly sweaters.  This means you have to hit second-hand stores to find your ugly sweaters.  Of course, the popularity of ugly sweater parties makes finding cheap, tacky Christmas sweaters a bit of a challenge.

To get our sweaters, I went looking early and barely was able to find anything.  At Goodwill, I had to pay a premium price for my ugly sweater - $8!  Hey, these sweaters have become a high-demand item.

The party was lots of fun with a hot chocolate bar, a tablefull of goodies, and some games.  Unfortunately, Ashley and I didn't place in the "ugly" contest.  I guess my green Santa sweater with candy cane trim was just too cute!  Also the competiton was pretty stiff---there are some REALLY horrible, ugly sweaters out there.
