39, for reals

I turned 39 this year.  Yes, 39.  I'm not just saying that.  I really am 39.  Now, I can't say how long I'll be 39 but for this year it is the real thing.

Dave brought me some flowers when he got home from work.  We didn't have any plans for my birthday because Dave had to work that day.  We did however, go out to eat at Naf Naf Grill.  You definitely shouldn't have to cook dinner on your birthday no matter what!

We had a more official birthday celebration the next day.  Dave had an extra day off for the 4th of July holiday so he took me out to lunch at a place we had never tried before called Kik's Chicken and then he took me to the Nike store to buy a new pair of athletic shoes.  After that we went to Wal-Mart and he bought me a new saucepan because I may or may not have burned the crap out of my old one a few weeks earlier.

And of course, it wouldn't be a birthday without cake.  The girls offered to make one for me, but I bought a Groupon for Nothing Bundt Cakes and we ended up with a delicious lemon-raspberry cake with cream cheese frosting.  It was good.  I love that place.
